NOVEMBER 15, 2010: The 3rd ANNUAL GOLF FOR CONNER BENEFIT TOURNAMENT was held at The Country Club of Lexington on 11/15/10. It was an unusually sunny, warm November day, even in South Carolina. The 31 teams enjoyed the challenging hole in one contests for grand prizes such as a Camero by Hermdon Chevrolet, golf cart by Atlas Golf Carts and $10,000 cash sponsored by Snelling Staffing Services. Golfers enjoyed lunch provided by Schlotzskys Deli, a bloody Mary bar by the Bistro, 19th Hole Grazing by Sysco Foods and fabulous desserts by Main Street Cafe. Many thanks to Sam's Fine Wine and Spirits, Baja Broiler, Main Street Cafe, The Loose Cockaboose and other sponsors who provided beer, wine and water for the event. The talented Nikki Lee Hagenmeyer topped off the eveing with great entertainment accompanied by Charles Funk and Charles Riley while shoppers claimed their raffle prizes and silent auction items. The Conner Foundation was honored to present the "Here Today" music scholarship to Amber Willoughby who performed an original song. Tournament proceeds will benefit the Christopher Conner Foundation to support its mission of providing educational and financial assistance to South Carolina musicians, and partnering with other organizations to provide healing through music.
